Who We Are
Jayna Ober
President
As a Marketing major at York College of Pennsylvania with minors in Visual Communications, Advertising & Digital Marketing, and Public Relations, I am passionate about bringing ideas to life through creativity, collaboration, and passion. Serving as President of AMA-YCP is an incredible opportunity to help students build their confidence, expand their professional networks, and discover where their passions can take them.
In addition to leading AMA, I serve as the Social Media & Marketing Specialist for the Graham Center for Collaborative Innovation (GCCI), where I oversee branding initiatives, social media strategy, and marketing communications. I am also a Graham Collaborative Innovation Fellow, Social Media & PR Chairwoman for Phi Mu, a York College Brand Ambassador,
a member of the Dean's Student Advisory Council, and a First-Year Seminar Fellow.
Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my dogs, as well as soaking up any opportunity to visit the beach. I also work at The Log Cabin, a fine-dining restaurant in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where I've developed strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills. I enjoy balancing my academic and leadership responsibilities with the people and experiences that matter most to me.
Jacob Evans
Treasurer
As a Finance major at York College of Pennsylvania, I am passionate about developing my leadership, financial, and professional skills while preparing for a career in the business world. As the Treasurer of the American Marketing Association (AMA) at York College, I am responsible for helping manage the organization's finances and ensuring resources are used effectively to support events, professional development opportunities, and member engagement.
In addition to my role in AMA YCP, I am a member of the GCCI Graham Fellows, and I am a residential assistant here at York. Both of these positions here on campus, along with AMA, allow me to engage with the community and prepare for my career after college.
Outside of academics and professional involvement, I am a member of the York College Track & Field team, where I compete in sprinting events. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, staying active, and challenging myself to continuously improve.
Sofia Reedy
Vice President
I'm a junior, currently majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications at York College of Pennsylvania. As Vice President of the American Marketing Association (AMA) at YCP, I am passionate about helping students discover their personal brand and turn them into meaningful career opportunities. Through AMA, I have built lasting connections, collaborated with driven individuals, and worked to create experiences that inspire confidence and professional growth. In addition to my role with AMA, I am an academic tutor for Adobe Premiere software here at YCP, helping guide film and communications students to create meaningful projects.
Outside of academics, I am a self employed photographer and wedding filmmaker, creating lasting memories for couples, seniors, families, and more. Through this, I have built and managed my own creative business, gaining hands-on experience in branding, marketing, client communication, and content strategy. These experiences have reinforced my passion for helping individuals tell their story and grow professionally.
Lujan Benites Alcaraz
Social Media Coordinator
I’m a junior majoring in Graphic Design with a minor in Advertising and Digital Marketing. I’m originally from Paraguay, which means I’m an International Student here at YCP. I work multiple jobs on campus and stay involved in several clubs and organizations. I love being part of the campus community, staying active, helping others, and constantly looking for ways to grow both personally and professionally.
What I love most about AMA is how it creates real-world connections beyond the classroom. The workshops, guest speakers, and networking events are full of practical insights that help you develop skills you’ll use in your career. On top of that, AMA has an amazing community supportive, motivated, and full of people who are always ready to help each other grow and succeed.
Grace Webber
Communications Coordinator
I am currently majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Human Resource Management at York College of Pennsylvania (YCP). As the communications coordinator of the American Marketing Association (AMA) at YCP, I am dedicated to oversee strategic communications across the board and ensure that everyone is heard. I love making connections with people and experience new things to grow my network.
In addition to my role with AMA, I am enrolled in the mentoring program within the Graham School of Business at YCP where I am able to connect with leaders of businesses and companies to grow my network, and build my professionalism skills. I also work as a server at Caruso’s Italian restaurant in Lancaster, PA where I am able to further my communication, customer service, and professionalism skills. I will be completing my internship at the Hershey lodge at Stacks, May through August of 2026.
My life outside of professionalism and academics consists of being with my friends and family, spending time with God, and enjoying the outdoors. Anything that will help me be more successful in my future sparks my interest.
