What’s the AMA Social Media Consultation Committee?

The Social Media Consultation Committee is a student-led initiative under AMA-YCP that gives you real-world experience helping nonprofits and small businesses in the York community. We will provide services like:

Social media audits & platform recommendations

Content calendars & campaign planning

Branding refreshes (logo, color palette, typography guidance)

Simple graphics and video content

Strategy sessions to empower organizations to take things on themselves

And More!

Through this initiative, you’ll collaborate with peers from other majors, get hands-on consulting experience, and leave with portfolio-quality work and new professional connections.

Who Can Join?

All Majors Welcome — We Need Diverse Talent

We’re building interdisciplinary teams,  not just marketing students! We’re currently looking for:

  • Marketing Strategists

  • Graphic Designers

  • Video Editors

  • Copywriters / Content Creators

  • Communications & PR students

  • Business, Nonprofit, or Entrepreneurship majors

  • Anyone interested in storytelling, branding, or digital strategy

You don’t need to have consoltation experience ~ just passion, commitment, and a willingness to learn. You’ll receive guidance and mentorship along the way.

How It Works

  1. You’ll apply via the form below.

  2. If selected, you’ll schedule an interview with our leadership team.

  3. If accepted, you’ll be placed on a client project team based on your skills and availability.

  4. You’ll receive light onboarding and mentorship support.

  5. You’ll collaborate on deliverables (audits, strategies, content, etc.).

  6. Your team will present final work and train the client to sustain their digital presence.
